79K views · 209 reactions | Copper to PEX tips…I deburr and apply water soluble flux to the pipe/fitting. I only apply heat to the pipe for a few seconds. Then I focus the heat on the PEX A adapter. Once the solder melts, I remove the heat. Capillary action pulls solder into the joint for a watertight seal. Shower water supply line tips…I love the flexibility of PEX A but I don’t want it touching drywall. One solution is to add 2x4 blocking and secure the PEX A with HoldRite Acoustic Clamps. This does two things, it centers the PEX inside the stud bay and reduces the likelihood of noise when water expands the pipe.
