Rail-y great news! The Third Main Line is officially LIVE. This triple-tracked section of the Southern Line (around Middlemore Station) allows for some organised overtaking - as freight and passenger trains will now be separated through the busiest part of the rail network. Big shout out to KiwiRail for all their hard mahi getting this done 💪 The Third Main Line - stretching from Ōtāhuhu Station to south of Puhinui - was officially opened with a celebratory event and a test drive this morning.
