New York and New Jersey hit by torrential rain and flash floods, forcing highway closures, suspending subway lines and flight delays.

Forecasters warned more rain and flash flood risk is expected on July 15 after storms flooded out roads the day before.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms moved across the Mid-Atlantic Tuesday after intense rain set off dangerous flash flooding from Virginia to New York on Monday, leaving at least two dead and prompting dozens of rescues as water overwhelmed roads and subways.

Torrential rain on Monday night triggered flash flooding that stranded vehicles on roadways across the Tri-State, leaving enough damage to close roadways into Wednesday. Across the region, homes were damaged,

South Florida remains unsettled with high chances of rain due to a disturbance moving across northern Florida providing plenty of moisture.

This footage shows a large storm over Florida forming and twirling, filmed on the 15th of July. The storm has now started to cause chaos over the state with some residents finding their homes and streets flooded with water.
