The man accused of setting fire to a woman who was asleep on a New York City subway has been indicted on charges of murder in the first and second degree and arson, according to Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.

The man accused of killing a woman who was sleeping on a New York City subway car by setting her on fire was indicted by a grand jury on Friday of murder and arson charges, prosecutors announced.

The man arrested on murder and arson charges in the death of a woman who was set on fire inside a subway train has been arraigned, while police said the identity of the victim was still “pending.”
