Google employs the Qi2 wireless charging standard for the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro, which charge at up to 15W. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is Qi2.2 certified and charges at up to 25W wirelessly. Since the Pixelsnap chargers use Qi 2, they can also charge non-Pixelsnap devices.

Google announced its own version of “MagSafe” called PixelSnap, which allows magnetic accessories to work with the newly launched Pixel 10 series of devices. The company’s announcement comes nearly five years after Apple announced its own slew of magnetic accessories with the iPhone 12 in 2020.

Google isn't just copying MagSafe, however. The new Pixel 10 smartphones incorporate magnets into their design to make them compatible with the new Qi2 wireless charging standard, which uses magnets to properly align phones and wireless chargers.
