Huskers ace Jordy Bahl struck out six batters in a complete-game effort, adding one hit and a pair of runs at the plate to guide Nebraska past seventh-seeded Tennessee in the opening game of its best-of-three NCAA Tournament Super Regional.

As I brought up in an article just before game-time, in the Nebraska Cornhuskers previous meeting with Tennessee, the Vols’ defensive goofs in the top of the 5th blew the game open for Nebraska 5-1 on their way to 7-1 victory.

As a team, the Huskers only had four hits and committed zero errors, while Tennessee racked up seven hits but committed two errors.
