The sister of Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham slammed WNBA officials after the guard was helped off the court on Sunday with an injury.
Sophie Cunningham was recently fined for making fun of WNBA referees, and her sister is slamming the league after her recent injury.
But that wasn’t all. Guards Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson both suffered season-ending injuries in the same game on August 7 against the Phoenix Mercury. McDonald sustained a fracture in her right foot, while Colson tore her left ACL.
Fever coach Stephanie White told reporters after Indiana’s overtime win against the Connecticut Sun that she didn’t have an update on the star guard, other than she has an MRI scheduled for Monday, according to Fever reporter Scott Agness. Cunningham left in the second quarter of Sunday’s game after Bria Hartley fell on her leg during a play.
