DeSimone was claimed off waivers by Utah on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. DeSimone was waived by the Devils on Friday after posting a goal, two points and a plus-7 rating over 11 games.

The New Jersey Devils placed defenseman Nick DeSimone on waivers Saturday. The 30-year-old DeSimone has yet to appear in a game this season for the Devils, mostly spending his time in the NHL this year as a healthy scratch.
