Seahawks VP of coaching operations Matt Capurro is leaving the team after 15 years to reunite with Pete Carroll and rejoin the Raiders. Was with Carroll at USC in 2009 and in Seattle from ’10-23, and worked for Al Davis in Oakland from ’04-08.

Pete Carroll is back in the NFL as a head coach just one year after getting fired by the Seattle Seahawks. He has joined Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders, who have their work cut out for them competing in a loaded AFC West division.

The Raiders are hiring University of Washington offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll to be their offensive line coach and run game coordinator, as first reported by Yogi Roth of the Big Ten Network and confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.

Seahawks will undeniably possess interest in following Carroll’s tenure with the Raiders closely. Carroll was historically in charge of the Seahawks for 13 seasons. He compiled a record of 137-89-1, winning Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013.

The former head coach of the Seahawks has plenty of his former players still employed in the NFL. A reunion with a veteran defender would make sense.
