The game never needed to get there in the first place. Ohio State once again had large stretches of sloppy play. The Buckeyes turned the ball over at inopportune times, allowed too many offensive rebounds, and had too many befuddling offensive possessions.

After four lead changes, Indiana forward Luke Goode capped off a career-night with the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:07 left on the clock in overtime to help his team escape with a 77-76 win. It was a much needed victory for a Hoosiers team (14-5; 5-3 Big Ten) that had been blown out in their previous two games.

Despite holding a double-digit lead with less than five minutes remaining in regulation, Indiana needed overtime heroics from senior forward Luke Goode to defeat Ohio State 77-76 in thrilling fashion. Goode led the Hoosier attack with a career-high 23 points and shot 4 for 7 from beyond the arc.

Indiana (14-5, 5-3) now has won five of the last six meetings with the Buckeyes, including both games a year ago. Ohio State (10-8, 2-5) lost its third straight conference game, all by two points or less.

These two teams have been on a downturn recently. Indiana has more talent than Ohio State, but they have not hit their ceiling. Then, Ohio State had a lot of potential but has not hit any of it this year.
