Saturday marked another year of demanding change in times of worry for many. Crowds called for women's rights, human rights and more on International Women's Day.

To support women and gender equality year-round, this year's International Women's Day theme, "Accelerate Action," called for the acknowledgment of strategies, resources and activities that positively impact women's advancement, and support and elevate their implementation, according to the International Women's Day website.

On International Women's Day, the ITUC stands in solidarity with women workers, their trade unions and all progressive allies around the world, in the struggle for gender equality, women's rights, and social and economic justice for all.
