Burrow previously won Comeback Player of the Year in 2021. That season, he rebounded from a torn ACL he suffered his rookie season by throwing for 4,611 and 34 touchdowns. Burrow and the Bengals went on to make the Super Bowl that season.

The Cincinnati Bengals posted a subpar 9-8 record during the 2024 NFL season. They did this while superstar quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 4,918 yards, 43 touchdowns and nine assists. The LSU product was remarkable during the campaign, though it wasn't enough for the squad to overcome a 1-4 start to the season to make the playoffs.
