Apple as killed the SE line of iPhones and unveiled the iPhone 16e, the most affordable phone in the iPhone 16 family. At $599, it's designed after the iPhone 12, with the 6.1-inch display and lack of the Dynamic Island, but still carries Apple Intelligence and the action button just like its rich cousins.

Regardless of Apple's reasoning for this decision, the solution seemed simple: Just get a MagSafe case. However, typically for Apple, the company went all the way with omitting MagSafe on the iPhone 16e, because even the official cases for the device do not support it.

Apple has offered a reason why the iPhone 16e doesn't include MagSafe, one of the more notable omissions from its latest entry-level smartphone.

Apple announced the iPhone 16e about a week ago, but it wasn’t on sale from the get-go. The pre-order period was valid until now, but units have now started to ship to consumers, and the iPhone 16e is available to buy in stores.
