The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Office of Defects Investigation has closed their preliminary investigation into General Motors' ( NYSE: GM) Cruise division and will take no further action. The agency noted the company’s decision to end robotaxi development.
The agency said it analyzed 2,759 reports identified by Cruise that involved collisions, including 1,113 that involved a “pedestrian conflict.”
