SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Iowa Representative from Sioux City, J.D. Scholten, has suspended his campaign for the U.S. Senate. Scholten was one of the first Democrats to announce a campaign against the sitting U.S. senator from Iowa, Joni Ernst.

State Rep. J.D. Scholten, who is running for U.S. Senate, shared his campaign's agriculture policy during a visit to Griffieon Family Farm in Ankeny.

Monday night, Iowa Democrat J.D. Scholten joined State Representative Josh Turek in support of his Senate bid. Earlier in the day, Scholten announced he would be dropping out of the race. Rep. Scholten says Democrats best chance to win is with Rep. Josh Turek.
