Last-minute goal lifts Sharks past Devils, 3-2
Cody Ceci scored with 24.2 seconds left in the third period to lift the San Jose Sharks to a 3-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday before a sellout crowd at SAP Center. Ceci took a pass from Alexander Wennberg at the point and fired a shot that got past Devils goalie Jacob Markstrom for his third goal of the season.

It happened most recently against the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 21, when the Sharks allowed a tying goal to Mattias Ekholm with 18 seconds left in regulation before losing 3-2 in overtime.

Alexander Wennberg fed Ceci for a one-timer from just inside the blue line. The shot hit New Jersey goalie Jacob Markstrom 's glove and trickled into the net.
