While the Stars’ side was peppered with postgame questions about the slash against Roope Hintz, the Oilers mostly took questions around the performance of goalie Stuart Skinner, who shut down 25 shots on goal from Dallas en route to his third shutout win in Edmonton’s last four games. Center Connor McDavid won nine of his 16 faceoffs and tallied one assist, one takeaway and a key shot block in the third period that helped seal the game. Defenseman Evan Bouchard chipped in with two assists and three blocked shots as the Oilers suffocated the Stars down the stretch.
