Republican lawmakers are pursuing the unusual mid-decade redistricting plan amid pressure from President Donald Trump to protect the GOP’s slim majority in the U.S.

AUSTIN, Texas (KXXV) — The fight over congressional redistricting is expected to return to the Texas House on Wednesday morning. The agenda includes discussion on House Bill 4, which relates to the "composition of the districts for the election of members of the United States House of Representatives from the State of Texas."

The bill would replace the STAAR with three shorter student support tests, and would require A-F ratings for campuses across the state.

To ensure Kentucky institutions are in accordance with the law, the presidents from each school presented to the subcommittee on education about the changes that have been made.
