Intel's surprise deal with Nvidia on integrated graphics raises questions about whether we'll continue to see Intel's graphics tech in future laptop chips.

Asian suppliers to Intel Corp. saw their shares climb Friday after the US tech firm’s stock jumped 23% following news of a $5 billion investment by chipmaker Nvidia Corp.

The joint products - in early stages of development and likely to be made on future manufacturing lines - could also provide an indirect boost to Intel's 14A manufacturing process slated for 2027.
