A cocker spaniel named Bailey has been ‘freed’ from a jail in Northern Ireland after concerns were raised over its welfare.

"Sweater Weather's story is one of resilience, but it's also a reminder of the struggles people face right now," a rescuer told Newsweek.

"When we collected her we were both nearly in tears, she was just skin and bone and we hadn't ever seen a dog like it," the poster told Newsweek.
