Unity announced today that it has acquired ChilliConnect, a platform for live game management. ChilliConnect gives developers tools to handle live game ops.

However, it seems that all may not be well at Unity proper. According to some new reports, Unity (U) is in a deeply troubled state, recently laying off hundreds of its employees.
