Earlier today, Motorola CEO Aymar de Lencquesaing spoke about the Lenovo Phab Pro 2, Tango AR, and the possibility of a Tango Moto Mod for the Moto Z.
While the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the only Tango powered smartphone available currently, the Moto Z might also be getting support for the augmented reality technology through a Moto Mod.
Tango, the augmented reality technology that debuted on the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro could be appearing next in a MotoMod for the Moto Z family of phones, including the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Force.
It looks like Lenovo isn't done with Google's Project Tango yet -- according to CEO of the Lenovo-owned Motorola, the Moto Z could get a Project Tango mod.
A mod for the 5.5-inch Moto Z would provide a much more practical phone to use and allow users to add or remove the Tango functionality as they desired.
By creating a Moto Mod with multiple cameras that are Tango-ready, a simple slap on the back of a Moto Z could make for a fun experience.
