Microsoft is aiming with Azure Cloud Shell to support various shells for executing commands. Bash in Azure Cloud Shell is currently ready for production use, but PowerShell is also supported.

Microsoft this week added a preview of a graphical code editor within its Azure Cloud Shell developer tools.

At the ongoing Build 2017 developer conference, Microsoft has announced the Azure Cloud Shell, which brings support for Bash in the Azure Portal, with PowerShell support expected to be added later.
