A robot in Japan has set a new world record for solving a Rubik’s Cube in the fastest time. Guinness World Records recognised a time of 0.305 seconds for the Mitsubishi Electric machine ...
Some Kansas City software developers built what they believe is the world's fastest Rubik's Cube-solving robot. They built it in their spare time, partly because one of the guys wanted something ...
Even less can do it quickly, like Max Park, the current fastest Rubik's cube solver in the world with a 3.13 second solve time. If that's the best humanity has to offer, what can a robot do?
An artificial intelligence-aided robot from Mitsubishi Electric shattered the world record for solving Rubik's Cube in less than a second.
The high-speed robot is called the Purdubik's Cube, which managed to solve the puzzle cube in a blink-it-and-you-miss-it 0.103 milliseconds.
The robot, which the team has dubbed the “Purdubik’s Cube,” was awarded “fastest robot to solve a puzzle cube" by Guinness World Records in April.
A similar robot was able to solve the Rubik's cube last year. In that case, the researchers had to randomize parameters by hand-picking permutations they thought would lead to a better algorithm.
