To pinpoint duplicate entries, apply Excel's conditional formatting feature: Open the Excel worksheet containing the data in question. Select the column or range you want to inspect for duplicates.

Located in the Home tab's Format section, the Conditional Formatting drop-down menu includes the Duplicate Values option. Remove subtotals and turn off outlining before you apply Remove Duplicates.
