Computer giant Hewlett-Packard has announced that certain batteries in HP and Compaq computers should be removed immediately, as they may overheat and explode.

Fire officials in Bucks County are investigating what caused a laptop computer to explode, injuring the woman who was using it inside her Middletown Township home Sunday afternoon.

A laptop battery ignited Wednesday morning at an education facility in Northeast D.C., according to D.C. Fire and EMS.
