Not only have Microsoft's Bot Framework and Service been updated, but new AI functionality and language capabilities have been introduced for apps that leverage Azure Cognitive Services as well.

In a July update, Microsoft released Bot Framework SDK 4.5 and a preview of v4.6, along with updated tools and Azure Bot Service channels for building intelligent, enterprise-grade bots.

Microsoft's Virtual Assistant Accelerator and Bot Framework Composer tools are now generally available. And developers can now use Bot Framework to create new Alexa skills.
