Made-in-India Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be exported to more than 100 countries, including key markets like Japan and Europe.

India will be the global production hub for Suzuki Motor's electric cars and it plans to export the vehicles back to Japan as well as other markets, such as Europe, despite a slowdown in sales of EVs,

Maruti Suzuki plans to become India's leading EV producer within a year, with production of the eVITARA starting in spring at its Gujarat plant. The company aims to export the model to over 100 countries.

India is set to become the global manufacturing base of Maruti Suzuki's first global battery electric vehicle, while contributing towards the vision of 'Make in India'. The automobile firm launched its first electric four wheeler, E-vitara on Friday at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, 2025.

Japan's Suzuki Motor Corporation plans to enter the electric small car segment in future after gathering experience from its first EV, SUV e VITARA which will make its global debut in India which will be the company's production hub,
