People have begun to make their way to Pittsburgh on Friday for the city's Fourth of July festivities. The city's holiday celebration is taking place on the North Shore and Mount Washington this year instead of Point State Park, which is undergoing a construction project.

Pittsburgh’s Fourth of July celebration will look a little different this year. Because of ongoing construction by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources at Point State Park, there won’t be any programming there,

The city’s festivities and activities will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 4, including musical performances from local artists, a children’s zone, food trucks and a hot air balloon.
