North Carolina's Kenan Stadium will be converting its football field back to natural grass for coach Bill Belichick's first season with the program. The decision was made in conjunction with Belichick, according to a university press release .

Tabor Academy rising junior quarterback Peter Bourque, who lives in Hingham, announced Tuesday night on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he has received an offer from UNC. This comes a week after Belichick, 72, offered St. Sebastian's offensive tackle Marky Walbridge, of Hanover.

Belichick’s base salary is $1 million annually, paid monthly. On top of that, he’ll rake in a supplemental income of $9 million each year for promotional and media duties. These include appearances at events sponsored by UNC’s advertisers and donors, press conferences, and other special engagements.

A little more than a month after he was formally unveiled as North Carolina’s new football coach at a news conference, Bill Belichick has put pen to paper and formally signed his contract with the university. Belichick signed the deal Wednesday and the school released it Thursday.
