The red carpet for the 97th annual Academy Awards ceremony has wrapped up—and fiancés Zendaya and Tom Holland were nowhere to be found. While some fans may have hoped for a rare joint appearance from the couple, their absence from the prestigious event comes as no surprise.

Zendaya and Tom Holland chose not to attend this year’s Oscars or any of the night’s after-parties. The newly engaged couple was not seen at the Academy Awards despite Zendaya’s film Dune: Part Two having a Best Picture nomination.
