Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is expected to meet Chinese PresidentXi Jinping as they both attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) leaders' summit in Peru.

During a one-on-one meeting with Peru’s President Dina Boluarte, Biden thanked her for the country’s efforts to counter drug trafficking and noted the $65 million the U.S. is giving Peru over the next five years intended to assist in that effort.
