Roblox announced the start of age-verification technology Thursday for users who want to chat more freely on the social-gaming platform as part of its new "trusted connections" feature.

That age verification, for those 13 to 17, will unlock a feature called "Trusted Connections" that allows for less filtered text or voice chat.

Another requirement for doing so is to perform ID verification, which is the same process required for enabling Roblox voice chat, and comes down to proving that the player is 13 or older.
