What files can you open in Gmail? Depending on which platform you use with Gmail, you can open a range of attachments without downloading them. However, you can't open some attachment types.

You need to click on the MSG file to open the email content in the SysTools MSG Viewer. As said earlier, if you want to see the attachment, you need to head to the Attachments tab.
