NBA free agency began on Monday evening, and one of the first reported trades will mean big changes for the Denver Nuggets. Michael Porter Jr. was traded to the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN.

ESPN reported that the Denver Nuggets are trading Michael Porter Jr., along with an unprotected 2032 first-round pick, to the Brooklyn Nets for Cam Johnson.

Good business by the Nets. As you can probably deduce, the Nuggets took back less money and a player of similar caliber to Porter in Johnson. By clearing $17-plus million from their books, the Nuggets now find themselves with flexibility the next two years because they won't be flirting with the second apron.
