BERLIN (Reuters) - A co-leader of Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) will attend the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Jan. 20 just a month before a federal election in Germany, the party said on Thursday.

AfD co-leader Tino Chrupalla will attend Trump's inauguration, while Alice Weidel stays in Germany for the election campaign. Beatrix von Storch will also attend. #EuropeNews

The co-leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) is to attend US President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration to a second term on Monday. Tino Chrupalla told dpa on Thursday that he has received an invitation to attend the ceremony outside the US Capitol building in Washington.

Most polls put the anti-immigration AfD in second place behind the conservatives before the Feb. 23 election in Europe's biggest economy.
