According to Black Jack Fire Chief Paul Peebles, crews responded to reports of a home explosion in the area of 13800 block of Evan Aires Dr. around 9:15 a.m. When they arrived, they found five homes on fire with “not much left of them there.”

Dispatch confirmed that three people were injured and taken to the hospital, 20 homes were damaged. Three homes were destroyed on Evan Aire Drive, according to dispatch. The extent of the victim’s injuries are not yet known.
