When someone mentioned he looked a little out of place in the color scheme, Marchand smiled. The red, he said, "brings out my eyes."

After unsuccessful contract extension talks, they traded the 36-year-old who could soon be a free agent to their Atlantic Division rival and reigning Stanley Cup champion, the Florida Panthers.
