A snowstorm sidelined Small Business Saturday plans, but Milwaukee businesses adapted quickly, shifting events and sales to keep holiday momentum going.

As Wisconsin braces for the coming snowstorm, some businesses, municipalities and organizations are already canceling weekend events.

Milwaukee police are asking for the public's help to find a critically missing 15-year-old. Makenzi Gayden was last seen at 2 a.m. on Sunday near N. 20th Street and W. Birch Court, about a block south of W. Silver Spring Drive.

Snow cleanup continues in Milwaukee, with side streets lagging, crews salting against refreezing, and garbage collection paused as workers help with snow removal.

The flight cancellations at Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport come as a winter storm blankets southeastern Wisconsin.

The city of Milwaukee Department of Public Works said all garbage and recycling crews will again be reassigned Sunday night to help with snow cleanup.

Milwaukee police are asking the public for help in locating a critically missing 15-year-old girl. Makenzi R. Gayden was last seen about 2 a.m. Nov. 30 in the area of 1900 West Birch Court, which is near the intersection of Silver Spring Drive and Green Bay Avenue.

The winter storm warning runs from 6 a.m. Nov. 29 until 6 a.m. Nov. 30, according to the National Weather Service.
