Guneet Monga has earlier won an Oscar for The Elephant Whisperers, at the 95th Academy Awards, in 2023. Anuja, directed by Adam J. Graves, narrates the story of two sisters struggling to find joy and opportunity in a world intent on their exploitation and exclusion.

It’s a dream for every filmmaker to get nominated for and win the prestigious Oscar Awards, but how many of them actually achieve this feat? Very few! But for us Indians, it is a matter of great pride as one of our films has been nominated for the Oscar 2025.
