DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - An advisory against swimming was posted at a sound-side site in Dare County today. The advisory is for an area at Jockey’s Ridge sound-side access in Nags Head. The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality says bacteria levels in water samples taken from the site exceed the state and federal standards.
