In the 10th inning, Trevino also hopped up from behind the plate to gather a sacrifice bunt attempt by the Brewers' Blake Perkins and threw to Reds' third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes for the tag out on Milwaukee's Andrew Vaughn, the so-called "ghost runner."

The Reds' Austin Hays hit a walk-off single after William Contreras delivered a dramatic go-ahead homer for the Brewers, ending Milwaukee's run.

In the bottom of the 10th, the Reds were able to bunt the runner to third base before the Brewers decided to walk both Elly De La Cruz and Will Benson to load the bases. Austin Hays delivered the walk-off single down the third-base line.
