Wojciech Szczęsny is set to sign a new two-year contract with Barcelona imminently after helping the club win a domestic treble last season, a source has told ESPN.

The Catalan club were rebuffed by Athletic Club last summer and had to compete with Bayern Munich for the winger.

After missing out on Nico Williams, Barcelona are still interested in signing Marcus Rashford – but he is not their first choice transfer target. It has long been known that Rashford has no future at Manchester United following a fall out with head coach Ruben Amorim last year.
