Andy Byron, the startup executive at the center of an extraordinary social media furor, has resigned as CEO of data operations startup Astronomer.
Tech executive Andy Byron was caught on a jumbotron at a Coldplay concert embracing a woman reported to be his company's chief human resources officer. The woman in question, Kristin Cabot, has subsequently deleted her LinkedIn profile. Newsweek contacted Astronomer for comment via email on Friday outside regular working hours.
"The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name,” said cofounder Pete DeJoy.
Astronomer's interim CEO Pete DeJoy said in an update that the startup had "received a level of media attention that few companies" ever encounter.
